Laughing and Dancing Instead of Scrolling

Kris Meyer

My Grandma used to say, "There is so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us, it behooves us all not to talk about the rest of us."  Isn't that like a lot of things we do in our lives. Some things have both good and not so good within them; like social media and other things we indulge in. The challenge is learning to temper ourselves or maybe we should say learn to discipline ourselves in the usage so we lean into the good part of something.

I find such joy in sitting down to play the piano. If I hadn't been disciplined to  practice, I probably would not find such joy today. A good lesson for us. The art of discipline in bending our addictive nature to look up from our devices and experience what and who is around us makes our lives so much richer.

My dad would have been 103 today...I wonder what habits they had in 1921 that society worried about!!

Thanks for listening!
